New project. It was finished in summer 2024. I needed a half year beside other projects. More Screenshots on my website. The translation of my German info text:
On behalf of REWE Markt GmbH, I had the privilege of creating a wide range of products in 3D in 2024. These items, which are usually only found on the shelves of their stores, were brought to life digitally with the utmost attention to detail and photorealistic precision. [2/4] All models were created using the 3D software Blender. Primarily, traditional modeling techniques were used, while for some models, I utilized a 3D scanner for the first time—mainly to ensure the precise dimensions of the plastic packaging. Unfortunately, CAD templates were not available for this project.

[3/4] Despite the impressive advancements in 3D scanning technology, extensive post-processing of the scanned models was essential. The focus was on retopology to create clean subdivision models. These not only render more efficiently but also enable more accurate surface representation when combined with material shaders.

[4/4] By the end of the project, I delivered around 50 meticulously detailed products, which are now being utilized for a variety of marketing purposes—a fascinating project that demanded both technical precision and creative expertise.

@metin Don't ask... 🙂 Indeed it was a lot of work. But as all modeling and sculpting tasks it was also a lot of fun and most time relaxing. The hardest tasks were the foil packages. It's super complex creating realistic folded packages. You can't fake. If you want realism you are forced to simulate the whole assembling in 3D. In compare to the shrinked foil packages the paper packages were easy peasy...
