And it looks like my #Linux phone with #PostMarketOS is borked. Broken HomeAssistant update yesterday, now this. What a way to start the year!

@sesivany an application update should not take down the whole OS... feels rather like a result of underlying issues. might be failing flash/memorychip?

@gbraad I've updated the whole OS, like 1000 packages.

@gbraad I wish PostmarketOS was image based and there was some rollback mechanism.

@sesivany Right... or have some other mechanism that pivots, like an A-B partition/tree.
Hosing an OS is never fun, especially on a device without a keyboard/screen

@sesivany Everything broke with the start of the year too :( Have you tried to hold the power button for a really long time? I had OnePlus 8T which did this, and just turning it off and on again worked.

@multi_flexi I'll try, but I think it was already turned off. I found it turned off and thought it ran out of battery, so I put it on charging, it turned on and booted into this screen.

@multi_flexi This actually solved the problem. I had everything ready for the reflash, booted into the flash mode, but didnt press the buttons long enough, so it entered the normal boot and... booted into the login screen. \o/

Yes, #HomeAssistant.
I'm on a Rasp Image and the Core 2025.1 is waiting for approve. Should I wait?

@fexplorer @homeassistant It depends what integrations you use. There are some bigger changes that apparently break integrations which haven't adjusted yet. I rollbacked and am holding off the update for several weeks.
