First real snowfall of the season, so I went out to the fields near the house with @dwenius and our cross-country skis.

Skiied through the meadow where I'd found giant puffballs to pick and eat this past summer. Poked one of the dome shaped lumps under the snow, and... yep! Spores!

If I turn into a zombie, I’ve no one to blame but myself.

I’ve never seen anything that large… my experience only includes puffballs the size of a grape.
