Exotic palm trees in Los Angeles and other California cities are reaching the end of their life span. In some areas, palm weevils are decimating the trees.

@darwinwoodka Looks as if they will vanish on their own if we let them. Hope that cities can replace them with a more useful type of plant. Eucalyptus also need to go. They are non native and dangerous in storms and fires.

Interesting that palms are here because of a real estate promotional campaign.

I love the look, but they are a hazard.
