As we go into a cold spell, my winter in the UK so far has been without heating (apart from the odd boiler test).

I'd like to say I'm managing it ok, and I kind of am, though I'm freezing my tits off.

Hot water bottles and heated blanket/throw are wonderful.

My energy bill has gone down! In the winter! A whole £4. Makes me wonder how much it would have gone up if I'd actually used it.

I'm contemplating cancelling my gas bill entirely when my fix ends.
