The sun had set at 1600 today; that's about 30 minutes before I took this photograph. There's a bright afterglow from the southwest as the clouds move in from the Atlantic, bringing the forecast rain - and snow further south. In the darker area of the sky to the left of the shot, the crescent moon can be seen above Scarba; just above and to the right of the moon is Venus.
