I see we are doing the “the ad companies are spying on you via the mic in your smartphone all the time to serve you Even More Targeted ads” thing again. (By some how bypassing OS level permission controls)

In reality it is probably a lot creepier.

for iOS you will have visible indicators when the mic/camera is in use https://support.apple.com/en-us/108331 and for android https://support.google.com/android/answer/13532937?hl=en

If anyone has proof an app is bypassing these indicators or OS level controls I want to know which apps so I can RE them and collect the bug bounty
