Sooooo it turns out when people say "You can't CNAME the apex of a domain, that won't work/that's illegal!"

You should be able to email dnscrimes at cname.fyi as well as resolve foo.cname.fyi and there's also a lower priority MX record for mail.cname.fyi that is CNAMEed (also bad) #dnscrimes

for iOS you will have visible indicators when the mic/camera is in use https://support.apple.com/en-us/108331 and for android https://support.google.com/android/answer/13532937?hl=en

If anyone has proof an app is bypassing these indicators or OS level controls I want to know which apps so I can RE them and collect the bug bounty
