@LeoBurr I’d participate but I’m worried I wouldn’t even know where to start now. I can’t remember any of the commands! And no idea what a go-to client is for say macOS.

No commands really to remember. Download, set irc.tiggi.es and it'll dump you right into the main chat. It's all GUI based.
