Not sure if her account is still active here, but I have always enjoyed @acegikmo ‘s videos even though my coding background couldn’t be more different.
They are just as much a work of art than they are educational. You can tell she is very passionate about her work.
Her newest video however is different, it talks about AI. It is less about AIs horrific environmental impact or how exactly it pushes creators out of their jobs, instead many parts of the video come from a rather emotional viewpoint.
And I think we don’t talk about that part enough. She encapsulates much better than I could ever formulate, why this particular tech hype makes me feel much more hopeless than the previous ones and why it feels just so destructive. https://youtu.be/-opBifFfsMY
The magical place I remember the internet to have been growing up, got lost more and more in the last decade. But AI is out to destroy what remains of it, replacing every corner with dystopian late stage capitalism.

@drakulix Two people being truly excited about a topic makes an interesting podcast. The connection you have with the hosts while they take you on a journey is the engaging part. That is, why those AI podcasts feel so empty, and I think, people notice that. So I still have hope that making an AI generated blog or podcast for your company to pretend that you would care about a topic backfires at some point.
