How do you organize old client projects?

My current system of digital archiving is clearly not scaling well and I am trying to figure out a more efficient way of sorting old projects. 🤪

@exkclamation how often do you need to dive into that old stuff though? I have an archive directory with a lot of such old things, but barely touch it. And when I do, what I need is often quickly found with grep, so structure doesn’t really matter that much.

I chose Client/Project, but it’s actually Archive/Client/Project.

@afranke I mostly never need to dive into old projects—but when I do need it, I need it quickly. And quite often the client doesn’t have exact file names so then I need to find it by manual searching.
