I am fine, don’t worry.

News has started to spread about two trams colliding in my city yesterday, leading to ~30 injured who had to be taken to the emergency room. ☹️ People have started to reach out to me, asking if I was alright, so I figured I’d publish this. I was home and safe. Thank you all for your concerns. 💛

~25 years ago, when I was still using Windows 98 SE and connecting to the Internet with a machine that would wake my mom up at night in the process, I used a tiny utility that would check whether my favorite websites had any changes. I think it was called whatsnew, or something similar. Before I go ahead and reinvent that wheel, is there any (linux) tool that already does that?

(I obviously know about RSS. I don’t make that website and it doesn’t have a feed.)

My 1st ever batch of #manele (#Alsatian for “little men”). Ever since I was a child, I honored the local tradition for St Nicolas day to get one from the bakery. They are one of the things I had to give up on when I went vegan.

Well no more. I found a #vegan brioche recipe, and the courage to try baking them! So behold.

A bit more #meeple shaped than the commercial ones, but I actually am happy with that result.

One of the things I was looking forward to in #GNOME 47 is accent colors, so I could choose purple and match the Dracula theme I’ve been using wherever I can. I’m a bit sad to discover that the GNOME purple is very pinkish compared to the Dracula one. 😦

Upgraded my laptop to #Fedora 41 last night. Yeah, I know. So soon! It’s only been out for a month, and I usually wait for the paint to dry… but oh well.

The upgrade (with dnf) went smoothly this time, because I made a backup beforehand (things only go awry when you don’t).

Don’t worry, I still have my desktop to upgrade so there’s still room for chaos.
