I just reserved my handle on #BlueSky and 2 out of my 4 followers are bot/onlyfans accounts. Not a great start.

@Jbasoo I did something similar a couple of weeks ago. I actually put "Not interested. Do not follow." in my profile and I also have 4 followers. All bots. I blocked 'em since there's no way to remove followers there.

@Jbasoo there's quite a lot of chatter, but then I've followed tons of people. A few curated feeds and starter packs have also helped connect me to web dev circles.

In some ways it's twitter II - albeit without the rightmost part still resident on X. In other ways, people are pushing quite hard not to let it just become a replica of the old place.

I'm very fickle, I will chat where the chatter is - but I'm happy to call the Fediverse my home.
