1/3 - In the #USA the #political fight over universal healthcare (UHC) has been raging for many years. While #UHC has almost always seemed unlikely for us, the likelihood of it occurring in the next four years approaches zero.
so my #question is, why don't we just do it? forget about the political fight.

2/3 - form a cost sharing network in a non-sectarian form as some #Christian organizations seem to have successfully done for numerous years now?
There are a large number of them out there, there are legitimate concerns about #scams, but it seems at least Medi-Share and Samaritan Ministries have been successfully and legitimately providing services for years.
I know the #Obamacare exemption for cost sharing is based on a religious exemption, but this should be possible even for

3/3 - those who hold no specific creed - whether agnostic, atheist, etc. There are "churches" for these are there not?
So what keeps people from collaborating together to build a non-sectarian cost sharing network?
I would like to be educated on this matter, so please feel free to inform me on why this wouldn't work. I'm all ears. 🙂

@davidshq trust? Beyond the challenges of starting a large organization in a legislative environment shaped by the monopoly players, knowing that the results aren't gonna be super scammy like the church-based ones are.
Like "hey, the biggest economic risk in your life, we want to amplify that" is a hard sales pitch.

@davidshq fair. As a non-believer I am predisposed to view anything advertising itself as Christian with a serious side-eye...
So... I find your ideas intriguing, though/and: as a Californian I'm gonna be pushing hard for single-payer here.
