I feel like I need some kind of community calendar for online events. I only know about my friends' Zoom performances etc. if I see their own posts about it. There isn't a place I can go to specifically see a list of events created or shared by people I like. Seems like a very simple thing, am I missing something very obvious that serves this purpose?

The obvious thing that comes to mind is Facebook events, 15+ years ago - in fact, this was the feature that broke me and made me create a Facebook account in the first place as an undergrad. That's not really functional or appealing anymore, for several reasons that we're all familiar with.

I've found some cool looking projects in the works such as @mobilizon and @gancio but I don't quite have the level of technical ability required to get an instance running.
