@palomakop oooh thank you (: i have never read any Alan watts, but I have been a big fan of his lectures for a long time !

ive gotten lots of recs for HTDN also, it’s on my list n feel like it would particularly hit since i grew up in the bay…

other ones i have not heard of but def will check out!

@lake i went thru a phase of reading a lot about psychology/neuroscience a couple years ago, and two of those were ones that stuck with me from that. i think that all that thinking about thinking changed the way that i think.

the other main nonfiction rabbit hole i went down was reading a bunch of pop science books by brian greene.

i mostly read science fiction though, i'm currently neck deep in a series

soulseek has been a goldmine of epubs for me

@lake one non-fiction book that i love to recommend people is "proofs and refutations" by imre lakatos. it's a book about the philosophy of mathematics but it's not too long and written in a really approachable style.

the ideas in it are broadly applicable imo.
