(it's a series i made a while ago, but i wrote a little bit about "Experimenting in Public" and what that means to me.)

i did notice that there were not many men in my classes, tho i wasn't sure if that was due to their being art classes. but it all makes a lot of sense in this context. including the part about teaching becoming a job that is seen as more feminine, and thus becoming lower paying and less respected.

i got a new lens for my sony a6000. 35mm/f1.8. so far, it's looking pretty nice!! these images are unedited (except the license plate lol)
i mostly shoot with wide angle lenses so this is a bit of a change for me.

added little "waveform" graphics to the homepage to break up the ~wall of text~ effect: https://palomakop.tv/
completely redesigned my Now page - it was very rainbow before, and now it's dark and simpler. also, i made my own pixely versions of all the social icons (they have color if you hover on them): https://palomakop.tv/now/
the little graphics i made on both pages are svgs that i drew as pixel art and did a blur & threshold to before vectorizing them. so it's pixelated, but with some subtle "blobbiness". at some point, i want to make more little pixel art graphics to use as dividers on the now page, but i'm kind of enjoying the simplicity for now.

still have to turn in my final grades but i'm done with the actual teaching part of my brief first time as an adjunct professor. damn, i'm going to miss my students. they did such amazing work. so many feels i didn't expect.

getting ready for the last final critique / short film screening for my animation class. i edited a photo of a wall with their film posters framed and a sign that says "now playing" and put it up on the projector, and put on an album by the caretaker. too bad i don't have any fake ferns or popcorn.
