@noujoum The clarity of the lines and composition, the vibrant colors of the clothes and angels contrasted with the pale white skin, the blue and red angels that remind me of mathematical tilings. It's so much more stylish than traditional Madonna with child paintings. Must have been quite radical at the time. I definitely couldn't believe its age when I first saw it.

@noujoum I like that. I like how it looks like a more or less "normal" everyday situation. Not one of those boring madonna's with a very pious look and extremely static pose.
And he is a masterful painter; no discussion about that.
