My partner and I are planning a short road trip, but we have totally different tastes in accommodation.

I like the cheapest accommodation possible because it's guaranteed to be an adventure. $20-50 AUD/night has bought me a lot of fond memories.

Meanwhile, she won't accept anything that doesn't /at least/ have a private shower and clean sheets. 🧐

@dHeinemann Well, it's a roadtrip, you can mix and match a bit. Pick a cheap but clean looking one with a shower down the hall for one night and pricier one the next. Clean sheets are not too much to ask for methinks ;-)

Spend what you didn't spend on the room on an extra nice dinner together.

@dHeinemann A thing to consider is that women often feel, & sometimes are, less safe in lower-end accommodations Walking down a shared hallway to a shared shower, probably in minimal clothing, is a vulnerable state she might not want to put herself in.
