We’re proud to announce our most exciting project for 2025: Dreams of Future Past!
It’s a series of 12 woodblock prints depicting nostalgic scenes from a distant future Japan, designed by us and carved by Mokuhankan, a traditional workshop, based in Asakusa, Tokyo.

We used a Pentel brush pen to draw beautiful lines, close to ones of traditional ukiyoe prints. It was challenging for us because we are not used to ink with brushes. We’ll try to improve our skills with the next design.

After that, the design was carved on 7 woodblocks (1 for the line & 6 for colors) by Taran Casey (from Ginko Hanga). It was a huge work that demanded many days and a lot of dexterity. You can watch the whole process on his YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIYfuYO1sHY
