@Guy it's a 1981 Puffin, the cover is the one that was used on the first editionback in 1973. These Michael Heslop covers are the ones I first got out of the primary school library and blew my mind.

They certainly catch the mood of the book. All my others in the series are generic wishy washy penguin school covers.

I enjoy them all but "the dark is rising" is the one I come back to most Decembers while the others rarely get an airing.

@Guy yeah, it's the one I read the most too, then The Grey King (especially when I'm in the area around Cader)
