Look at his beauty I have just discovered in a moisty barn ! 🥰😍

Dual Pentium II ! AGP, PCI,PCI-X,… ISA !!! And internal SCSI !

Don't know if it works, but I think I have found the perfect setup for DOS/Win9x games ! (And early Linux distros and Haiku/BeOS for the SMP part!)

@jmessager I had a dual P2-350 once. I ultimately decided that since the OSes I was mostly running on it (Windows 9x and some DOS) weren't able to support SMP it made more sense just to pull the second processor out to preserve it that much longer. In the end it was the motherboard that went out before the CPU though.

@nazokiyoubinbou

Yeah, CPUs are virtually immortal. And easy to find.

Old motherboards are difficult to find though

Toot

@jmessager I don't know if I'd go so far as to say immortal. Especially if any overclocking/overvolting has existed in the chip's lifetime.

Though, ironically, I actually did underclocking rather than overclocking on that system. (If I recall I had to get it down to 166MHz to stop crashing stuff like Warcraft 2. This was before patches all over the Internet to fix games like those.)
