The pickups and preamp on this thing are just 👌🏻

Going drop D to play Schism gives a real punchy growl that just sounds amazing.

The longer fretboard (24 frets) will take some getting used to compared to my old 20 fret bass. My left hand keeps going for the wrong position.

@Tenzer Yeah, I'd wanted to try a PJ for a while. I played with a new Fender Precision Ultra II recently and its active PJ pickups sounded great. The active EMG pickups in this have a really nice punch to them.

@JonathanPulfer I’m inclined to say even better. It feels great, and the EMG active pickups have a real punchy growl when you boost bass+treble just a teensy bit. Love the feel of the neck.

@JonathanPulfer Spector basses are all very lovely, to be honest. All of the ones in this Euro LX line show the grain and have a matte stain finish. Love that over lacquer
