Das ist interessant. Ich habe bisher geglaubt, dass Socken quasi als Schlauch gehäkelt/gestrickt würden... Das sieht eher nicht so aus...

(Kann ich selbst nicht... also weder häkeln noch stricken...)

Spannend, die Socken-Strick-Methode hab ich noch nie gesehen.

Was sind da die Vorteile gegenüber der Methode, die Socke in einem Stück (als Schlauch - ohne Nähen) zu stricken? Verzählt man sich weniger leicht oder ist das weniger nervig weil es kein Nadelspiel braucht?

(Bei der Schlauch-Methode gibt es ja auch noch einige Varianten - runde Zehenspitze oder mit Abnehme-Kante, Verstärktes Käppchen, ... meine Oma war da Meisterin)

@bergamlaimerin Für mich ist der größte Vorteil, dass ich es auf der geraden Nadel stricke und weniger durcheinander komme und die Arbeit leichter liegen lassen kann.

Es ist einfach ganz grandios, wie viele verschiedene Möglichkeiten es gibt, etwas eigentlich gar nicht so kompliziertes wie Socken herzustellen.

@afelia Interessant. Aus Schneidersicht macht das natürlich Sinn.

Strickst du so auch dünnere Socken? Da würden mich die Nähte wohl stören, ich mag meine Alltagssocken so nahtlos wie möglich.

@afelia Strickst du Schaft und den Teil um den Mittelfuß gleich weit?

Ich habe mir bisher nur "Zehenwärmer" gestrickt (flach und dann genäht) damit beim Radfahren im Winter die Zehen nicht so frieren. Aber eine ganz Socke wäre natürlich auch nicht schlecht.
