At 16, I got my first job and bought a used Minolta X-700 with 35-70 f4 and 70-210 f4.
Complicated camera. Steep learning curve. I loved it.
At 20, I sold the kit to my college English teacher, Keith. That’s when I switched to Canon.
Keith was from Ohio but his grandfather was Polish. Keith moved to Poland for a year to learn about his heritage. He was two years older than me. We became friends. This was his first SLR.
Keith is now a world-famous photographer.
