[#]Cloud #hosting recommendation?

The world of cloud hosting is changing so rapidly. What I'd like is a provider where I could "one-click-install" a range of packages. For example, I'd like to try NextCloud or my own instance of PenPot. I realize not all services will provide a 1-click for EVERYTHING but I'd like one that has a robust set that would allow me to play. This does NOT need to be high performance, this is for personal exploration.

@scottjenson It seems like the big hosting companies (Linode, DigitalOcean, Vultr, Hetzner) are all building out a robust 1-click marketplace. Elest.io I think is a bit different because they do "managed" hosting, not just click-to-install.

@gabek I'm not sure I appreciate the differences but I like the support that comes with Elest.io. Backups, easy domain configuration, etc are really handy for more consumer-ish folks. The price doesn't appear bad and they are using the same providers (e.g. Hetzner, linode, etc)

@scottjenson I think the meaningful difference is that managed hosting will always keep the software up to date for you, where the rest it's up to you to manage it once it's installed. The same goes if there are any issues, it would be up to you to fix them. But if you are paying somebody to manage it for you, then it, in theory, will be taken care of.
