Actually, there is already precedent for getting out of a ticket for a medical emergency. You can totally speed to the hospital if you are transporting your loved one in a medical emergency.

Specifically, many states have Good Samaritan laws which provide both civil and criminal immunity for rendering emergency assistance.

Alternatively, there is the Affirmative defense of Medical Necessity.

Even if it wasn't a precedent already, it should be. "I was trying to save someone's life" should always be a valid excuse.
