@tanghus just below "Create file request" there should be "New text file".

@blizzz @fooxl No, because it messes up the MarkDown files with headers such as

Title: Mel

Description:

Tags: mad

Template: page

Lang: da_DK

@blizzz @fooxl Is the plain text editor deprecated?

Found it: https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/files_texteditor

But "Highest Nextcloud version Nextcloud 27". Hmm

@tanghus @fooxl Does it? Last time I checked it was doing fine, but I am not heavily using it. At least it should render fine since 26: https://github.com/nextcloud/text/pull/3460 and I am not seeing any open issues against front matter corruption.

@blizzz @fooxl

Thanks, it seems to be exactly the same problem - I will try again 👍

@tanghus You should have a list of file types to create, if you don't, maybe you deleted the Templates by mistake, or maybe they weren't properly installed automatically to begin with.

Also make sure you have apps installed that would handle them (diagrams, office suite)

Try starting from here, see what your templates directory is set to, and see if you have files in there - those files act as templates for new files. Maybe they're missing, or have bad permissions.

@tanghus Also look in the error logs, you may have something there that hints to a problem

@casraf @blizzz I found a temporary solution :)

occ config:app:set text rich_editing_enabled --value="0"

@tanghus @casraf For the office files one of the office suites in necessary. So, Collabora Online or OnlyOffice.
