Hey @pluralistic , your Sept. 2020 writeup of the $11,000 Covid test is completely wrong, and so is your reference to it yesterday.
UnitedHealthGroup did not defraud the government out of $11,000. UHG was the victim of an $11,000 fraud. It paid the $11,000.
“United kills people, for money. During the most acute phase of the pandemic, the company charged the US government $11,000 for each $8 covid test” — no. Wrong. Completely backwards.

@pluralistic Cory, that “$11,000” is the first statistic you list about UHC. The second is that they deny 32% of claims. Nobody actually knows if that’s true either. That data hasn’t been collected.
