One of the hardest parts about teaching art is the massively different starting points of individual students. The assignments need to be versatile enough to meet them where they are, and interesting enough to motivate them for more than just a grade. @brentpatterson agree! i'm doing final critique with my animation students today and tomorrow, and they've all started from very different places, and made a lot of progress along their own unique paths. it's cool to get to see that.
