Are there any good reasons why I shouldn't purchase an older, used deep (chest) freezer?
Has there been new efficiencies or anything in the last 10 years that would make buying a new one better?

@frigginglorious I mean a chest freezer is already drastically more efficient than upright ones everyone has just due to physics.
Will you save more money in energy in a new one than you spent buying it? Is the carbon footprint of manufacturing a new one worse than using a less efficient old one?
