I somehow missed this when it was first reported, but Democrats settled for a "deal" where they basically handed 4 appellate judgeships to Trump. Thing is though, in order to be a "deal" there needs to be something commensurate in return. And uh... this falls far short of the mark.

I don't understand why Biden can't do recess appointments and just approve all of these in one fell swoop.

I learned of this through a letter from Mangi, one of the nominated judges, in which he thoroughly eviscerated Biden and senate Democrats for their spineless obsequiousness, capitulating to the MAGA banshees currently in control of America.
