Happy New Year, may you all have a prosperous and productive 2025! I've chosen another #SonyP200 photo for today. I did love this solid little silver metal brick of a camera with its slightly larger CCD sensor (for a point & shoot). Colours were about the best digital colours I've had! So far my film photos of this bend in the Grand Union Canal haven't come close.

The tower of St Stephens Theatre, #Edinburgh. Once a church, now a theatre and community space. The clock allegedly has the longest pendulum in Europe. Just about works for #FensterFreitag.

@tapasinthesun I do like it. We were visiting friends who now live in Chepstow.

I've long been puzzled by the name Symonds Yat, but the suggestion I found somewhere that Yat derives from the same root as gate makes it easier to accept!

@carusb in the days of film, enhancing colors was out of reach for the amateur (it could be a property of a film brand only if it controlled the whole chain of chemical processes, which, with all those independent film laboratories was not the case).

@tg9541 Nowadays I use colour film almost because of the variety of colour looks I get, but generally, colour accuracy is not one of them! But then, 75% or more of my photos these days are black and white film, neatly bypassing that problem!
