hundred year #copyright is just another way that corporations use and destroy resources, in this case our literal culture. by the time something enters copyright its cultural context and usefulness (and oftentimes the memory of it at all) is destroyed and nothing can be built from it. copyright should be twenty-one years, so that people can create and remix while works of art still have the chance to be relevant. we're cutting out whole branches of culture for shareholder profit.
