i know we're all feeling cathartic about american health insurance getting owned by the working class.
one thing i don't see people talking about re: 'canada' Postal Workers Strike is that managment suspended all health insurance benefits across their striking workforce, including all workers on temp and permanent disability.
medication in 'canada' isn't covered by public insurance. everyone is on their own, and it can get very expensive if you have any complicated stuff.

so the striking workers who are sick and/or Disabled, and who have sick and Disabled children and dependents, on top of being paid $60 a day max, but only if they picket for 4 hours (which Disabled workers likely can't do), now have to deal with new medical bills that can get very nasty, very quickly depending on the conditions one is dealing with.
HEARTLESS behaviour.
also, all 21 of their vice presidents got lavish bonuses last year, when they ended on a net loss.
