@AaronBallman About clang-format, I think it would be really convenient to have a configurator.
One of PHP's linting tools has this [1] and it is so convenient. I've never read the documentation for the tool (which is kinda hard to read and understand) because the configurator shows you examples and how the different options of it change the styling.
And it allows loading up an existing config, changing some settings, and exporting it out again.
