@evilpaul_atebit @doop Yeah, it's dead useful. It's implemented at a level that's out of reach of TIC code (i.e. a big array of values somewhere that'll never be peek or pokeable) but otherwise I'm a big, intersecting fan.

@jtruk @evilpaul_atebit It does feel like a bit of an anachronistic cheat, but I don't think my ethical objections are strong enough to prevent me from using it 😅

@doop @evilpaul_atebit Z-Buffering was apparently (I just learnt) invented in 1974!

I'm gonna guess N64 was the first console to have as part of the graphics pipeline?

I wouldn't worry about authenticity. Given the uncapped CPU, I see TIC more as an art tool than a replica console 😄

@jtruk @evilpaul_atebit legit! It wasn't used much on the sort of 8/16-bit machine that TIC-80 imitates because it chews through memory like nobody's business but you're right, it's not like I've avoided taking advantage of the lack of CPU limits..
