I vaguely recall @brainwane writing something about shm-reduplication (“fancy-schmancy,” “Linux-Schminux”), but can’t remember where.

Anyway, I just learned about the Schmalkaldic Wars, and thought about that.

Probably this came up because in Kannada it's gi-reduplication. Dosa-gisa, for instance.
