I am a costco member now.

This is a further part of the "ditch amazon" experimentation.

The sort of bulk household purchases we make for the home business cost $20 less on this run at Costco than on Amazon. Amazon delivers, but their membership fee is more than 2x the price too.

So maybe a trip to Costco every couple of months + the difference in prices and fees > free prime shipping.

I have now saved $115 buying non-books somewhere other than Amazon, and spent $48 more on books by buying those local.

@hypomodern Costco.com also delivers! In the sense that you can get things not local to the warehouse.
