I'm going to be in japan (mostly tokyo) from january 24 to february 8! if we know each other (or like, kind of "internet" know each other) and you would like to hang while I'm there, then give me a shout

also if you know of anything cool in japan, tell me. I hear they have cool stuff there

@mewo2 it depends what you like to do but i really liked exploring the tiny bars of Golden Gai in Kabukicho, you can also get the metro into Kamakura for something quieter in the Tokyo area, if you want to go to any otaku ish cafes you need to book ages in advance or get up early, there’s cooler stuff to do at new year than stand in the cold at shibuya etc. i went for a similar time frame so i can make some more specific suggestions if you need :)

@mewo2 oh exciting! I just spent a couple of weeks there. We got a railpass (you can go on most trains then including shinkansen) and best bit was Yudanaka for the volcanic streams and general loveliness (might be a bit snowy when you go, it's where the snow monkeys live)
