How on earth do you post a useful comment on Youtube these days? That is, without it being algorithmically deleted?
Nowadays, I basically never log into Youtube to comment. Except, for example, this historical clip of English step dancers from Cromer (see the next reply "toots" for the video and my comment).
I took out links (internal and external), leaving only instructions on how to search for the web pages, but, no, Youtube simply deletes my comments.

The melodeon player is Percy Brown. He's playing what Hohner calls the "Vienna Model 2915", in England almost universally called the "Hohner Pokerwork." It has two rows of buttons and this one is in the keys of D and G.
The tune that Percy is playing is called the Yarmouth Breakdown. You can hear him playing it on the classic LP "English Country Music from East Anglia":

You can read more about Percy in an article about him on Rod Stradling's excellent Mustrad website:
https://www.mustrad.org.uk/articles/p_brown.htm
Percy Brown has been an inspiration to many English melodeon players (including myself) through his recordings.
If you want to know more about this particular video clip, I'd suggest contacting the East Anglian Music Traditional Music Trust. All of this is not quite as obscure, or dead, as some people seem to assume 🙂
