@johnefrancis What the CBC article should have mentioned is that Zero Hour was originally done as a CBC TV movie. And the Hollywood version retains all the Canadian references. Itβs a lot of fun! π

@johnefrancis Oh, and more trivia for you. Apparently the original CBC movie had James Doohan in it (Scotty from Star Trek). And the CBC movie was written by Canadian Arthur Hailey, who later went on the write the novel Airport, which then became a movie that kicked of the 1970s disaster movie cycle. I'll stop now π

@uxmark I remember the 70s disaster movie cycle as a child. Every time I turned on the TV I was getting traumatized by a volcano or some highrise burning down. And it just got worse in the 80s
