Exercise likely doesn't burn more calories than a sedentary life. Which means that diet is the primary way to control one's weight.
But.... we know that diets rarely work for long term weight loss. So how does a person who wants to stay slim do so?
It does tend to add even more evidence to point away from shaming fat people. It would be very much like shaming people for being bald.

@kingrat Well, if exercise isn’t the huge factor like we’ve previously assumed, then it seems like food is the main target. Ultra processed foods have been linked to obesity, among other issues. If we want to tackle the problem on a social level, ensuring quality of food seems like the only point of attack.
