Has someone built a masto instance that hoovers up all one's tweets from your personal data archive and reposts them, fully searchable, with the original tweet date? I'd love to be able to link to my old tweets without linking to that site. (And I'd love if others here did the same!)

Ya it could be done and ive thought about it. I can take a look next week. Ppl who are doing so on bsky are saying it's not as great as you might think since you lose all the replies, but it could still be done

@jonny @jni All those replies, lost like tears in the rain. We have to get used to impermanence. Our mundane everyday conversations largely aren't worth saving. Just how often anybody makes a pronouncement worthy of bash.org?

@albertcardona @jonny yeah, most aren’t. But I unfortunately got in the habit of using Twitter as my demo/ announcement space. When performance reviews came around I would check my tweets for the past year 😂. I’d like a nice UI to look at those again. Some manual culling would be warranted, indeed.
