@caseyliss Another possibility for your Giants HDTV problem - years ago when I was feeding OTA into my TiVo, I put a large (4’ square) HDTV antenna in my attic, along with an amplifier.

I live in Northern Virginia, and not only did I get all DC channels perfectly (from about 20 miles), I also received some Baltimore channels very well (50+ miles, and I wasn't even aimed optimally for them - they were 27º off-axis).

If your buddy is in SW CT, NYC channels may be viable. But if he's too far beyond Stamford…it'd probably be CT focused stations, which may push him into the Patriots market (nearly as bad as the Giants, but that's just an old Joe Gibbs fan talking…).

@caseyliss Heh. Now I'm listening to the follow-up, and if Milford was a potential "improvement," it's clear that even a really good antenna wouldn't help in his original location.

Plus, obviously, if using the VPN / browser works, you're golden. :)

@caseyliss Wow, that’s even farther out.

Obviously OTA TV must exist out there somewhere, but I have no idea what market’s games it would end up serving. Even though it may be a fun technical challenge, I agree your all network approach is probably the easiest.
