There's one 1 strong reason I'm still on Windows... and it's not even gaming... but Windows Remote Desktop to my work machine won't work on Mac, won't work on Linux, won't even work on Windows ARM (WTF?!?). I guess I'd have to quit my job in order to kill the last Windows machine in my home

@kwramm oh wow, Remmina not getting RDP sorted? That's weird, on my past job using it to access the windows laptop was the entire workflow (until they installed crowdstrike in it and made me segregate the machine from my local network aggressively)

@VileLasagna nope. even MS's own RDP app on MacOS refuses to connect to work, giving me a cryptic error. Worse, even Win 11 ARM's own remote desktop won't work. Only Win 11 x64 works

@kwramm yeesh. Bizarre and infuriating. If you haven't, consider giving NoMachine a go when you have the patience. Since RDP through Remmina worked for me, I didn't use it for Windows at the time but this WAS the solution which saved me for remoting into a Mac and I believe they have servers and clients for all three major desktop OSes
