a few years ago i got a good deal on a dremel kit that included a rotary tool, angle tool, and the saw-max. unfortunately the saw-max has been discontinued, and i just found out that blades also no longer exist... which means that the tool is trash when i run out of blades. that's totally ridiculous and really frustrating and disappointing.

@emenel How annoying! Are they not a standard size and arbor? I have lots of off-brand bits for my off-brand dremel, including some actual Dremel™️ bits. They all can be made to fit each other. I know Bosch and some of the other standard power tool brands make similar mini-saws. Could those work?
Worst case, I guess you can save the motor for something.

@praxeology i’m looking around … i think they are 3” blades but the mount is different … i saw some people enlarging the centre hole in other 3” blades, but tbh i don’t know that i have the equipment/skill or patience to do that.

@emenel yeah that sounds honestly unsafe.
