Reminder to Allistic folks: the religious and end-of-year holidays are starting up and Autistic folks are either having the time of their lives and/or hanging on by a thread, bear with us
I'm not apologizing, this is society's fault for treating a part of the year special and making a big deal out of it

This year is proving to be extra hanging-on-by-a-thread for me.
On top of the usual overwhelm, my sensitivity to injustice is in absolute overdrive (I'm in the US), and I'm finding this "carry on like normal" aspect of seeing holiday ads especially enfuriating.
The juxtaposition of "we're going to lose our rights" and "buy holiday gifts! Shop now!" messaging is overwhelming and disregulating.
There is also extreme fear and extremely deep depression.
I am not doing well.

The fear my friends might not be here this time circa 2028 given the incoming administration has said "Transgenderism must be eradicated!" has made me an absolute wreck. The last thing I'd want to hear right now is "Happy Holidays" or "Merry Christmas".
