I just published a new TUI utility built on Rich (thanks @willmcgugan!): Docker Cluster Monitor - A TUI utility to monitor your docker containers. #python #docker

If you're running Docker containers, this is a fun tool to keep an eye on it.

@willmcgugan Uses Rich's "Live" feature for continuous refreshes of your server status.

@mkennedy This is pretty neat. I just tried it on one of my servers that's basically only accessible via Tailscale, and it was helpful.

Do you have this running all the time or just spot checking it?

@mkennedy My use case was also running it via: uvx --from dockerclustermon ds {myserver}

@webology Thanks! Never thought about that angle. Just spot check it doesn’t seem to bother the server if it runs indefinitely. Just runs docker ps, docker stats, etc over and over. :)

@mkennedy I didn't notice any spikes or anything. I thought maybe you had some battle station view or something. ☄️

@webology When I first created this thing I did have running for a day out of interest in battle station style. But stopped eventually and just check in with it periodically now.

@mkennedy This is nice! I've been using https://github.com/bcicen/ctop/ for similar reasons, but that's run on-server.

@mkennedy I will check this out. Were you looking for something lazydocker couldn’t do?

@abosio Just learned about lazydocker, looks interesting. But seems to be more for exploring the system rather than a glanceable dashboard type of thing that I created.
