Crazy idea. What if your family doctor and any specialists you see (pulmonary, asthma, neurological, etc) had a way to track what the other doc is doing/recommending. No tech for such a thing, or just no interest? I was given a diagnosis from an endocrinologist that could be exacerbated by what my doc had prescribed, & it needed my pulmonologist to weigh in, too. I shouldn't have to ask each one their opinion. It should all be gathered together to see the situation at a glance. OMG cooperation?

@Bette
This is a thing with private insurance. Ask them.
I recall a coordination of care push ca 2014 or 15? CMS (Medicaid/Medicare) was rolling out forms for consumers (?) that didn't "network" providers together like you're talking about. It was a consumer-reported list of providers. Good admin would validate those contacts and get releases so I could get an endocrinologist on the phone if needed.
No clue what happened to this effort because I stopped doing consumer-side not long after.
